Just got myself a Wagon to replace my RA, better for the family ! it has a Blitz DV/blow off valve fitted. should this type be making a noise ? cos it doesnt at the mo.

Don't really know, it was on when I bought the car. The car seems to run ok, it does have a nut at the top, not sure if thats any sort of adjust. I thought the Blitz ones were hard to break !

 

Actually looking at it, the valve is mounted right at the back of the engine, can the pipe connecting it to the intercooler be too long ? the valve is right back at the bulkhead on a bracket.

 

Can see on the pic here where its mounted, not sure what to check or how to be honest !

Sounds like maybe it has been adjusted so that it only goes off if you hammer it ! might try adjusting the nut on the top a bit !
