Id say a bit more than that, more like 4-4.5k with the rebuild, its a big selling point!
There are similar scoobs in the trade for sale section, look at their prices!!

I'd think that 3.5-4k is a realistic area if you're wanting it to sell... obviously extras, mods and condition effect this, but its not going to be miles away IMO, few hundred quid here or there.

sold MY98 uk turbo for £3600 nearly 3 years ago... Scooby sport exhaust de-cat , new wheels, thats about it.. wish i hadnt as soon as it drove away... its took me this nearly 3 years to afford to get back into one ...
Found the 1998 model very expensive to tune.. couldnt have it remaped would had to have changed the ecu...
dont sell it unless you have to...

Are you looking at private sale or part-ex?
I recently part-exed my 00 turbo 2000 (only mod was full stainless exhaust scoobysport and cats included with sale), immaculateish, 42000 miles, FSSH and got 5.5k for it. I consider I got a pretty good deal under the market conditions. Don't think the engine re-build will count for much value as
a) It is only making good previous damage/wear and tear
b) You don't see many UKs requiring a rebuild, might make some suspicious of history (though obviously I don't know circumstances).
All imo of course
Seeing prices things go for/difficulty some have had in selling mint cars I think you will do well to get 4k in a part-ex. Private? never tried selling privately before, but see comments above and still think 4.5K absolute tops.
