Cool

I also have 99 with PPP... oh yes indeed!

Now have FMIC, Downpipe, Induction kit, and running 1.18bar @ 280bhp with 276lbs/ft... oh yes!

Still get poxy golfs, astras and those ford ficus things trying their luck, why on earth do they bother?

Buy the 99 PPP and enjoy... we certainly do!
Good Luck.

My insurance co didnt know to start with but once i emphasised the fact that it was a main dealer upgrade (didnt effect warranty) they were ok.
Dont tell them its 260 bhp for gawds sake. I dont know about other co's but mine uses a rough price guide of taking the % increase in power and charges me the equivalent % increase in price of the original premium. Whatever- the official stats state that the car will be upgraded to 237bhp (its the torque that makes the set-up so good)so quote that.

I was on up to 10% increase in peak power with my policy.

Now on up to 20% for downpipe and boost tweak as well.

They are usually only interested in peak power.

Hi all,
I am currently interested in buying a friend of a friends Impreza 4dr my99 with a ppp fitted.
My question is this;
When I have phoned around getting insurance quotes a lot of people (or at least the call center staff) have not heard of a ppp and ask me what it is, I tell them that it is a modification to the ecu and a new straight through exhaust.
Is this correct and is there anything else I should be telling them?
When asked for the bhp increase I say from 215 to 250, is this also correct as at the moment I am taking my friends word for it as I haven't a clue.
Last question, does a ppp decrease the 0-60 time by much
Thanks
