Default Strange idle and hesitation just on boost.

Howdy lads....Wondering if anyone can help with this.I'll try and describe the problem as best as possible...Car was fine all morning, went into shop, came out, drove abit and was just accelerating and she started to struggle, like it was about to cut out.Felt lumpy. She is ok pre boost RPM but wants to cut out when i come to a stop.I just recently fitted a FMIC and this is the first problem i've ever encountered with her and i don't like it

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be the MAF.
Have you tried cleaning out your boost soliniod & MAF. Checking the hoses, reseting the ecu

I was thinking that it might be that alright. I didn't reset the ECU since i installed the filter and FMIC so maybe that might help. Where is the boost solenoid located? I'm used to dealing with R5 turbo's!

looking at your engine bay. Its on the left hand just infront of the strut, just behind the airbox is. It has rubber pipes {3 I think} going to the turbo. I used carb cleaner to flush mine out.

If you use the search button. Type in " cleaning the boost solenoid " and " cleaning the maf ". You will get all the answers there.

I only got new irridium plugs less than a year ago now but i'll give that a try cause reseting the ECU and cleaning the boost solenoid hasn't done anything. The RPM won't go over 3k when i'm driving either.I have ordered a new MAF today so it'll take abit to get her so its annoying...

How do you check to see if the MAF is gone? If i started her and then plugged it out and it didn't cut out?? Help needed !!!

Now i'm very confused...I just went out and started it her up. I plugged out the MAF and she cut out. I noticed a strange noise coming from from the turbo area, like there was a leak in the exaust, like it was blowing and the backbox was right after the turbo

But i don't know why she is running bad and won't go over 3k RPM and act all 'lumpy'.....This is now wreacking my head. Is it best to change the MAF, plugs and leads? Or is there a more sinister problem lerking?
