i recently put a new air filter in and a bov, i ran the car for a bit with the recirculation pipe open from the bov, and the CEL came on, recently plugged the pipe but the light is still on, will this go off itself after some time or do i need to reset it myself, hope it only me playing with it that cause it to come on mind, its an 05 wrx

You will need a dealer to do it for you, or someone with an OBDII scangauge or similar tool. If you are anywhere near Uxbridge/Slough I could do it.

 

disconnect the battery overnight that will clear the cel light.
