Default Wind Noise

Hi all,
Don’t know if any of you have heard of this problem before,
But recently my WR1 has developed an irritating wind noise coming from the front of the car which booms around the hole cabin, it sounds just like when you blow across a half drunk bottle of pop, or Stella for that matter.
If Iam traveling at 70 ish and it’s a bit windy the noise starts and stops with the gusts, but any speed a little over 75 ish and it is constant, also very annoying.
The car is standard with no bottom splitter, the bonnet is properly closed,it hasn’t been in a bump or had the wiper blades changed recently, nothing has been altered on the car.
Here is hoping that some one can point me in the right direction.

Cheers all, keep up the good work.

I have had a good look at the screen and rubber, couldnt find anywhere that looked as though it may have been lifting when the wind tries to get under it, but I will check again.
Cheers

I had a simular noise, found it to be the A2C pillar post trim.
Had lost a clip some how.
the noise went after i replaced with the new clips the whole way along.

I hadn’t changed my wipers when the noise started, but did remove them altogether and went for a run, 70 ish (not on the track though) just to see if there was a difference in noise levels and eliminate them from what I thought may be causing the problem, sadly it wasn’t solved that easy.

Will let you know when I have found the culprit on mine.

Cheers all.

Fitted this bit of mesh today to stop all the kamikaze flies bending the fins on my intercooler.

Looks like I have killed two birds with one stone as the wind noise I had has now gone, don’t know why its stopped but it has, I did completely remove the air scoop though when I was deciding the best place to fit the mesh, so maybe something had moved slightly causing the wind noise, but all is quiet again now.
