Exclamation

If it is dry, 3-4mm is spot on. Any more and the tread blocks squirm and the tyre overheats more.

If it is wet - as much tread as you can get!

Question

Want to get some part worns for airfield track day use.

What sort of tread should I be looking at for one day of average use. 3mm-4mm ?

I know it depends on the surface, driver etc but as a rough guide. Had the last set down to the canvas but couldn't remember how much was on them to begin with.

Anyone know of any good sources of part worns and what sort of cost I should expect. £20 a corner sound about right?
