I'm just wondering about poor old Arron.Is he:
1. not well?
2. a wind-up merchant with nothing better to do?
3. just another arrogant tosser who drives a BMW?

As for the M3, what a great car it is.....my brother has one and, when I'm as old as he, I might get one too!! The M3 has a cracking engine and outruns Scoobs at the top end, but my brother just can't beat me in the windy stuff, especially in the wet....Scoob(PPP,Leda B) wins every time.....and believe me, my brother is trying his ***** off and is desperate to get one over me!

Bottom line: there are many great cars about and we should just enjoy each for its virtues and avoid ending up bitter and twisted like old Arron!

Arron actually has a sense of humour, unlike a large number of people on here. Still, if you had to put up with a Subaru, I guess that there is not a great deal to be cheerful about! LOL

My main problem in life is not at Subaru owners its Subaru themselves taking folk for too much dosh. Now that is a minority I know cos most people on here have what I would class as a NORMAL Subaru, its the special "we want to make a car like Richards" models that I personally feel are just not worth the money. Once bitten and all that.
I do actually like the look of the new STI7 and I`s sure I posted somewhere that it is the right money if it has all the bits on for £27495. I bet there `s a catch there aswell tho

My first Scoob was a reddish blue 5 door mate with all the trimmings so I know what they do
I actually prefered the look to a 4 door at the time.
Next time at Bedford we`ll have a go....I think you may be surprised tho

At Bedford Birdy was maybe catching me in the one session we were anywhere near each other, hard to tell 'coz we were about 1km apart. It was rather wet then wasn't it

What is it with you guys - constant effing posts about we were the fastest at the most recent Scooby track day, and it ain't the first time I've seen posts like this.

The SIDC may wonder why some of the events are not fully subscribed, and sadly it is exactly this kind of attitude that puts people off coming to SIDC track events any more. The upside is that Bedford recently was one of the best in terms of track etiquette, but this is not what it is about.

Personally I did not see Mr Bird on the track, and wouldn't comment in his skills - but what does it matter - the events are supposed to be for enjoyment, and this kind of macho rubbish is going to kill them off. And you don't even drive bluddy Subarus. And that is not a precious thing about Subarus are best, simply that the said track day, and others you have attended, are Subaru Impreza Driving Club events, with the emphasis on the first four words.

So, come to our track days, put the ego away, take the **** out of the Scoobs all you like, but don't get some naive driver trying to pass you out of ego and wiping out their car, or worse.

PS Before anyone posts that this borne of bitterness at being blown away by said M3, I didn't see it out on the track when I was out, so I couldn't really comment - I saw Chins car, and he went out in mine.

But not at these track days - and the constant posts about your guys being the quickest are simply ridiculous and incitefull.

A number of SIDC members I know have given up coming to SIDC events precisely because the crap you guys have posted here. It's one thing bragging about RR figures 'cos they can seriously injure much more than your pride - but the testosterone fuel rubbish like this has seen a significant increase in cars being written off on track days - how many Scoobs got wiped last year - speak to the loss making insurers if you need to know.

Are you on this BBS purely to incite other Aaron? You harp on about all these factual and helpful comments you have made and then you go and blow it by making childish comments about how much your car is worth. So what if your car is worth twice the cost of the standard WRX. Some people cant afford that much for a car, some dont want to spend that much on a car and most dont want to fork out another £20k for a car that is only slighty faster - are they any less of a person because of this?

I also can find posts from you and Steve bragging about how no-one could pass you at Donington last year and that you were the fastest thing on track - which again was debateable.

Ok, the only thing you have proven in your response is that you can afford to crash your car three times more than the next man. I am not doubting your driving ability - I am sure that if it is at least as half as good as you claim it is then it will be fine what worries me is that I know of a number of people who are not coming to SIDC track days because posts and braggadicio like this.

What is worse is that people with less skill or ability or care than you, read this, try and take you on on the track and lose their car in the armco, or even worse, my car - so my dear friend, it is you who have missed the point, and my sense of humour remains intact for more appropriate situations.

My posts regarding track days, especially Donongton, were meant for Dingy in the main and Mike Rainbird who definately think that they are the top boys

P1 fanatic..........I certainly am no better a person than anyone on this board just because I have a more expensive car. It simply means that I have to find more money every month
But I dont mind the slightly more cash for what I have now over and above the car that you seem to like a lot.

Some could say your stuff about how fast you reached at Bedford before braking will encourage people to leave their braking too late trying to outdo you.

Or how your passenger had cramp from hanging on may encourage people to try to scare their pasengers.
