Default 22b B19 WRC help????

Hi there chaps ive seen a 22b advertised on pistonheads website for 19k with 16000 miles, im very interested in the car but when you hpi the car it comes up that the car was manufactured 1995 and the previous reg number was N986 NVM, and the year it was imported in uk was 1999, also it comes up as an estate on the hpi, it does not state anything about the car on the hpi but the colour and the chassis number which matches the car, i thought if it was launched in the uk in 1999 it shud be a S T or V reg, why is it still coming up as a 1996 car and number plate, please help me is this a dodgy car or is it a mistake, what puzzles me is the previous number plate is a N986 Nvm and comes up as a estate on the hpi.... if it was launched in the uk in 1999 why isnt the previous plate a 99 plate not N986 NVM

Mmmm, looks nice though...... i'd go and see it if it were me, quiz the owner, tell him what you've found, and watch for tell tale signs of him lieing.......

edited cos you replied before i saw it....

in that case, i think i'd walk away, if that car were genuine, people would be queued up for it.....

It should indeed be 98/9, is there any chance that whoever imported it put the 'N' plate on it as someone's initials..... and they 'assumed' it was therefore 1996..... it's a long shot though.....

Maybe B19 WRC has just been transferred from a 95 car and that the database is not up to date to take into accont the plate transfer to the 22b. Try HPi with the chassis number.

Whilst I confess to not knowing what the service schedule is for a 22b, if it has only done 16k miles why is it due a major service?
Perhaps it is 16k miles and 100k kilometres

You have to service a car according to mileage OR time.
