Question

I need to get hold of the instructions for my Morretes. As the dealer fitted them I have not got them.

My beam is way off to the nearside, and whilst height adjustment is easy, lateral adjustment is difficult on near-side and impossible on off-side without removing them all together.

If you can help, please fax them on 0113 389 0808 or e-mail as per profile.

Cheers

They're really easy to remove, the lateral adjust screws are underneath so they will have to come off to adjust them.

Firstly remove your from grill, this is easy to, they are some clips at the top and 1 at each end at the bottom, you will then be able to see where the morettes are bolted in, 2 bolts hidden behind the grill, and a screww type on top.

I do have the instructions but they are in french and at home, i could scan them in and email them tonight if you wish.

Cheers Bobafett. I could really use the instructions as I am mechanically inept.

DON'T adjust them off the car - a small amount of movement at the adjuster translates to a lot of movement at the lamp, and chances are you will spend all evening taking them off, adjusting them and putting them back on again, and you can't see where you started.

To get more clearance for the offside, remove the two 10mm bolts from the air intake trunking on top of the bonnet slam panel and pull it off completely - it just clips into the plastic at the inner wing end.

It is possible to get an 8mm spanner on both the lateral and vertical adjusters - it is fiddly, but doable.

The best way to adjust them is to line them up square on the garage door or similar, about 30 feet away, put them on dip and put some insulating tape or similar on the garage door where the cutoff of the beam is - both horizontally and vertically. You can easily see the result of changes then.

I did both our cars this way last week.....

Thanks for that Dave. I have paid for them adjusting twice, but they only seem to adjust the height

Tony,

I just got some of those Osram bulbs for my MY00 from Mac's Garage in Ilkley, he also adjusted my lights for me, both height and direction cos he said they were pointing too low, and the NS was pointing too right!!

Drop me an email if you want contact info.

cheers,

greg

Cheers Greg

They are just very difficult to get to on the Morettes. I will e-mail you if I get stuck.
