Perhaps this is not the right forum to place this post, but I'll do it to get it off my chest...

<grrrr>
I've had my scooby for 4 weeks now (MY99), and one thing that really gets on my nerves is BMW 323i drivers who insist on driving an inch away from my rear bumper. I get this about once a day and yesterday I thought enough is enough. I was on the dual carriage way and I could see the distinctive twin round lights of a Beamer getting closer - I was at 50mph (which is the limit) and in the inside lane. I just took my foot off the gas and the car slowed down - eventually coming to a halt. People started horning. I took off again, at normal speed, and the guy kept his distance this time.

OK, sounds like I did a stupid thing, but I think the guy got the message...

I get the same from FTO owners (mostly on the M'way), but I usually get into the slower lanes and let them pass.

</grrrr>

I got the same thing with a guy in a mark II golf. I was on a dual carriageway with a 50 limit and I overtook a couple of cars and pulled back into the inside lane. During which time a mark II golf behind me sat on my bumper the whole time. After overtaking these cars the road was clear for him to pass me. But oh no! he tucked into my rear bumper and proceeded to follow behind me. So I thought I am not going to be pushed into racing this a@@hole and so I slowed down to 25/30mph and so he overtook me.

I have had my scoob 16 months now and it certainly attracts some to$$ers.

Damian.

akshay - get your flame suit on quick - there are more BM owners on here than Scooby drivers. Its not that we think we own the road - we do own it

Davyboy - Take yourself down to your local BM garage - get an options list - look closely - near the bottom you will find that you can buy either a single lane or the entire road No point in buying the inside lanes, cos they are cluttered up with scoobs, which we all know are slow in a straight line

Richard - fix your own hotmail then

On BMs, I know for a fact that what appears to be foglights are actually the main lights. And what appears to be the main lights are infact just dummy lenses.

Taken from the BMW owners handbook...

"Congratulations on buying your BMW. You can now brag to all your friends on how you own an over priced and under performing car, M3 and M5 owners excluded, and you now have the card blanche to drive however feel.

We here at BMW advise you leave the front fog lights on at all time so people will notice you in your BMW and we also suggest you try and get as close to the car in front at all times."

Allegedyly, tongue firmly in cheek...

FTO drivers problem is that they cant understand why a 2.0l V6 24 valve engine only produces 200BHP
