MY2002 WRX UK fuel?
Standard WRX will be fine on 95RON although a premium make would be better than supermarket.. I think you would still find an improvement on V-Power in terms of smooth running and consumption (makes up for higher cost) and possibly a little power.
Assuming it's totally standard the ECU will correct to any fuel. It wont run well on standard unleaded and you may get a CEL flash if it starts to detect knock. Most ppl stick to V-Power or Tesco 99. If you mod/remap then I wouldn't risk running full boost on 95.
Just out of interest, would putting 95 in a WRX with PPP damage anything? When somebody said 'as long as the ECU is standard'... I know the ECU is tweaked with PPP, so does that make it non standard?
I only ask because the owner of the 2002 I've got my deposit on did say he once ran it on 95 and found it really sluggish and switched back to 99 shortly after. Just hope it won't have caused any damage?

PPP is a 'safe' package designed to operate in a wide range of conditions, which is why the map is nowhere near as aggressive as a custom map, and why the warranty is maintained. I very much doubt any damage will have been caused. ecu will just have adjusted to the fuel which is why it would feel more sluggish. If it detected knock which it couldn't sort out you would have seen flashing CEL.
