remap after engine rebuild
Just had a complete engine rebuild after big end failure. Need a remap for UK fuel now. Whats my options? Im in south Wales.
The cars a 98 V5 STI RA
Also how much more power would I get with decat?
Only other mods are ported exhaust headers and lightweight flywheel.

You'd need an aftermarket ECU like an Apexi to be able to re-map it as such.
There is a distinct advantage to taking that approach, as the management can then be altered to match your requirements.

On a Version 5 you can remap your original ECU. In conjunction with a decat exhaust this would bring good gains.
On your year of car it would be wise to renew the MAF sensor as it may well be the reason for your previous engine failure. They are approx £80 from your Subaru dealer and take 2 mins to fit.

Should I get a front mount intercooler to? I've seen them on ebay for £200. My ones got a few fins bent

These cars can adapt their idle strategy to cope with a failed MAF. I wouldn't run the risk, at least get someone to check it for you with a wideband O2 sensor and knock detection kit.
You can run IRO 320-330 on the tmic, a fmic will allow a further 10-20 bhp.
