5 months ago I swapped my 2004 Scooby WRX for an Evo 7, Ive always wanted a Evo and when the opportunity came to own one I jumped at the chance (Thanks Kevin
), trouble was after owning the Evo a few weeks the Evo bug wore off, and I started to miss my old beast, and ive been feeling that I was more happier when I had my Scooby and financially better off.
Don’t get me wrong the Evo I had was a great car, it was quicker, handled better, and looked much better then the scoob. But somehow it wasn’t what I expected it to be, and decided to sell it.
Now I hope to start looking at the 06 “Hawkeye” STi’s in 6 months time once they start to drop in price. I saw a WR blue one in the flesh today and it looked absolutely stunning and not as bad looking as some people make out.
Has anyone else gone from Scooby to Evo and back to Scooby again?

No! But I had help in that I always thought the Evos (Evo6 at the time) looked too ultra-aggressive for my taste.
Later Evos look better IMO... Though I have to state, MY01 onwards, Evos and Imprezas, they're lardy fsckers.

A few years back I had an sti3 which I owned for 3 years before trading it in against an evo6. the evo never quite won me over, the experience, in fairness, was spoiled by an unreliable example but that aside I felt the anticipated advantages on the road just didn't exist and it allways felt a bit sterile and not as much fun or as enjoyable to own as my scoob.
I've now got a v5 typeR, FANTASTIC!

Went from my 98 uk prodrive to an Evo 6 and although the power delivery from the Evo was
, it never seemed as complete as the scoob. I persevered for 12 months but ended up going back to those that I knew and felt right in. Sti 5 Type-r v-Ltd. WR Blue. Perfect!!! or will be as soon as I get rid of the decal set.
