Question Specsavers / Pentax UltradriveDay lenses?

I'm coming up for a new set of specs and am considering these lenses - anyone tried them or got a pair and are they any good?

Do they replace sunglasses as claimed in the blurb?

Obviously, I doubt you'd be able to hide your eyes behind them if you're trying to keep incognito / not let anybody know how good or bad a night you've just had

The effect looks similar to polarising to me. How much more are they than polarised lenses ? Try before you buy I'd say.

I'm picking up my shades today from Specsavers after having them put new lenses in and polarize them.I think the polarization normally costs £60 but the woman said there was an offer on and they were £42 (Bear in mind this is on top of the cost of lenses and tinting something which I hadn't realised until I came to pay the deposit for them)

Dave,

I know I'll have to give them a try but was canvassing opinions first as to whether they are OK or a BOS

Be careful with polarized lenses. Some windscreens are polarized -- if they're polarized in different directions you'll end up seeing nothing.
