Default Air Filter Changing?

I know this is probably a really stupid question but how do I change the air filter in my impreza? Ive got a replacement panel filter and an induction kit, so I thought I'd put the green panel filter in and see how the car runs before I ditch the air box altogether.
My mechanical skills are pretty limited so this is why I need instructions on how to get into the air box.
Cheers.

PS - If its a newage car you have, then it'll look slightly different, but I'm sure you'll soon see it - the airbox is square from above, rather than appearing triangular....

Also, If you've no other mods - don't bother with the induction kit, it will just draw in hot air - panel will do nicely.....
