After hearing a clicking kind of noise coming from the front drivers side wheel area on full lock on MY97 UK Turbo, i took off the wheel to investigate,

The inner part of the driveshaft (gearbox end) there is about 3/4 to 1" of movement, ....

Do i need to replace the whole driveshaft or just the joint ?

Is it worth using a second hand shaft complete with joint ?

Also, if thats ok, would a WRX part fit my car ....

Drive shaft is supposed to have about that much movement in and out of the CV. Sounds like hub CV may be worn.
WRX shafts are identical.

Right i'll see about getting the outer CV replaced ..... what sort of price am i looking at for the part ?
