I have just sorted my Track day cover for this Fridays SIDC Brands Hatch Track day.

I have dealt with Eggar Lawson on 0115 941 5225 after spaking with Nik Kershaw.

He said as yet he had only sorted cover for 10 cars out of the 60 that will be taking to the track.

So if you don't have over sources of cover, give him a buzz and he'll get you on the deal £75 £12,000 worth of cover £750 XS.

Don't forget how ever good a driver you think you are!!

BTW watch out for 6'4" hulk with ginger hair - Nik might be coming along to keep an eye on his investment/liability

 

I'm going to Brands as a spectator so no worries!

Just in case you're thinking about not bothering with the track day insurance, a colleague of mine was on a bike track day at Brands a few months ago. He lost it at Paddock and ended up doing several thousand pounds worth of damage and had he taken out insurance?? - what do you think

keep trying

As usually happens, most people leave taking out cover until the very last minute, and they are always busy a day or two before an event like this.

Nik himself is probably very busy, so leave a message and he'll call you back when free. There are a few of them dealing with the SIDC event, so if you just ask for cover, they'll put you through to whoever is available

 

Turns out the last 4 digits Ian's put above are wrong - it's a phone box in Nottingham!

Got there in the end though.

We're covered (got personal injury cover as well.....just in case, only £10 each, well worth it).
