Default Brake pads help

Hi all

Need some assistance with my brake pads of my classic.. i need to replace them but I dont know what type of pads they are. When i bought the car the previous owner said the discs and pads where from the newer impreza's and that the calipers are 4 pot. The calipers are black with silver subaru writing on them. Can anyone tell me which pads i need to get.. is it the bug eye pads or the newer shape.

Any help appreciated..

Thanks

could be the face lift gc8 model, best thing is to either get a mechanic or yourself to take out your old pads and get them matched at your local parts shop as they do have a book with all pads designs or go to some one whos knows what there talking about and ask them to diagnose what brakes you have (dont go to any cow boys coz if ur brakes are f****d then so will you be, especially if you dnt have a.b.s which imports dont)

Probably pads for a MY98 onwards classic (4pots - earlier models were 2pots).

Post a pic and somebody will tell you for sure.

Just ask the guy above ^^^

Alyn will recommend the best pad at probably the best price with excellent service to boot. Fit them yourself too, it really couldn't be easier. Ask if you need advice.

Just in case he doesn't revisit this thread

My own advice would be Ferodo DS2000 (may now be called DSPF or similar ) or Pagid RS4.2.1 Black. Mintex are dirty and squeal a lot at first, and EBC are just too soft and wear in no time. IMHO.
