Ah ok you shouldnt suffer any adverse effects, there is a place in Hyde that does valeting, if you come from denton along the A57, you go passed a fiat garage on the right, rail bridge ahead of you as your coming into the centre, just before you get there you can turn right, about 100m on the right, nearly opposite a junction is a valeting place, they do engine steam cleaning

or alternatively, go to halfords and buy the cd2 engine cleaning and detailing kit.

works wonders on my wrx and only about £8 i think. just need to warm the engine up a bit, spray the cleaner on and rinse off. leave to dry and put the detailer kit on.

the results were very good. look in the search section for cd2 bound to be something on it.

This is an alternative, we always used to use this for cleaning the engines when I worked in the trade. plenty of choices at Halfraids however I am sure they are not the cheapest.
