Finally picked up my scooby after a painfully long wait for the reg transfer to go through, and now loving it. Pleased to say that it already had 10,000 on the clock because I'm crap at running cars in having no self control!

My only dissapointment was the noise from the exhaust, or rather the lack of it. So I popped to scoobyworld and picked up a racebox rear box. One question for you all...can I fit this just using a single trolley jack or do I need to get some ramps/axle stands from somewhere to fit it?

Only other thing to say is that if you have a car with the large head unit it is actually a kenwood one and you can get a very good ipod adapter for about 70 quid which can control the pod from the cd changer controls, as I had one fitted when they put the tracker on.

Will post some pics when I (eventually) get this exhaust on! - Scooby blue 05 WRX SL

Fairy liquid or KY gel if your in the buisness

Bar the obvious silencer the other main componant that reduces the noise, is the resonator box, just before the silencer. it looks like a snake thats swollowed a Hot water bottle IIRC

Change both and a nice tone will come back

if your fitting 'new' rubbers.. soak them for a while in hot water too.. makes them a wee bit more malleable...

Cheers for the welcome everyone. Sportbox now on...Just waiting for this pissing rain to stop before I can get some pics - traction is awesome in the wet having said that. Just stepped out from an M3 and this weather would have me cursing but now I love it. Only 'problem' is that it looks like I'm going to get about 150miles out of this tank of BP ultimate Here was me thinking the fuel bills might be smaller! Oh well at least the tyres are cheaper
