Default MY99 MAF hmmmmmmmmm

not had the car a month and started to run like a bag of poo.

after reading the stories of maf problems took it to my local chandlers who ordered one in for me as they susspected same problem - and had it fitted yesterday.

MY question is

for the first mile or so it still had the problems but then they vanished, am i right in thinking that the ECU may take a few miles to adjust to the new part?

am touching wood at the moment as i dont want the problem to come back but on the way to work this mornign she was fine, so fingers crossed ;-)
