Default Dump valve?? yay or nay??

just got MY97 uk turbo and wondering wether to put a dump valve on??

Sounds good without it but do they make any difference at all apart from noise???

I take it your talking about a vent to air dump valve (as you already have a dump valve)

Yes if you want that sound (it makes NO performance improvement on its own)

No if you want to guarrentee that the car runs correctly (Can cause the car to overfuel occasionally)

Does it annoy u going off all the time when u just let off the gas??

i rarely take mine above 5k (i know wierd for a 21 yr old lol!) so might just leave the standard one on for a bit then try out one

my bf has got them on his and they sound great, and after he has got his new exhaust fitted later i dread to think how it will sound.

No. You'll tire of the racket eventually and it may have a detrimental effect on the way your car drives. The std recirculating one is perfectly good.

I have one fitted to mine, but the pops and bangs from the exhaust also attracts attention.

If you are an attention ***** then yes, otherwise it has no benefit whatsoever!

IMO when i hear a scooby i want the burble not a wooshing noise like some chav c*nt in a rs turbo!

u have to ask urself if u saw somone hoofin through a street with there dump valve goin off ud probably call em a *** , ive had mine for a week now the 1st time i took it out i thought i was the dogs ***** now im just embarred an too thick to know how to take it off whoa is meeeeeeeeee
