Default Smallest battery?

As part of my ongoing weight loss campaign (car not me), looking for something to replace my Hitachi imported battery which masses about the same as me.

Looking through Halfrauds catalogue, the Rover City type battery seems to be the smallest... Car's only used for weekend work, no air con, no nighttime, so I'd imagine this batt would be ok?

Any opinions? Anything smaller?

Don't really want to pay £150 for a race battery either as it's only a furkin battery

Keep it in the family, Subaru Justy Battery (028 battery number), weights half the weight of a "Standard" one (05)

Ta

No problems with that then? Don't see why one car would need a bigger battery than another really... Same amount of lights/heaters/spark plugs In fact turbos should need less powerful starter motors

Takes about 1 month, with a Clifford alarm on to flatten the battery, enough so it won't start.

But when running no problem. Only time you notice is when you indicate and you can hear the fuel pump change speed. Guess thats due to the speed of the load coming on/off the regulator can't cope in the alternator.

that's just cute

Think it's a bike battery with different terminals though... worth investigating!

Back from the dead I know, but how have these tiny batteries coped with everyday use, if indeed thats how they have been used?

Any problems starting?

I want to use the battery space for something else and charge the battery frequently via my Accumate charger so would like a smaller one.

Cheers,

Wayne.

Mines is still going strong, now also fitted one to my Kit-Car and it's fine also even though car sits unused more than Scooby.

Still in my car going strong, does lose it's charge if not used regularly, much like any battery.

What about this one? Weighs 3lb, that's just 1.4kg. Not cheap though.
