2 break-downs ( needing recovery ) in first 1500 miles - acceptable or not?

2 break-downs ( needing recovery ) in first 1500 miles - acceptable or not?
The new Scoob ( 2months old) has required attendance from Subaru Assistance twice now, and that's in the first 1500 miles.
Fault 1 - battery connectors fell off at 400 miles ( I presume never connected properly )
Fault 2 - oil apparently leaking from gearbox ( to be confirmed.)
Having had 30k faultless miles from my previous Scoob I'm beginning to think of lemons.
Any views?

Fault 1 is nothing
Fault 2 ........ could be grounds for rejection
But, you MUST act VERY quickly!!
Tell the garage you are considering rejecting the car .... NOW - what you actually do is up to you, but you have served notice.
Also, don't allow them to try and fix it if you want to reject - a new car shouldn't need fixing - just reject straightaway.

going through this now
4 recoveries in 5 months
new engine fitted
new one once again, broken, only this time, im not allowing it to go back to be fixed again, they have had umpine tries, everytime, they say its down to the way its been driven, those engines use alot of oil.....
CRAP, my engine has oil pi$$ing out the bottom of it, so they aint getting it back now, well, not to repair anyway., the car is currently in the process of rejection
A word of advice, dont bother with trading standards, the car is to much to claim in small claims and they will only advise you with a solicitor anyway
Do you have finance on the car at all, not matter how much???
If so, PM me, i have some useful info for you

FAULT 1 Battery connectors coming off
This will have definitaly have caused Alternator damage which may show up right away or after your Warranty has expired.
Make sure they fit a new Alternator now under Warranty.

Jumps starting should be avoided, When you put the jump leads on, the voltage of both cars double - 24 volts then jumps to about 30 volts when both cars are running
