Default Classic Impreza wagon and dogs...

Evening all

I'm just about to sell my Pulsar because I want to get a couple of large dogs. I dont somehow see them fitting in a Pulsar

Now my friend at work has a Classic Scooby Wagon, a MY98 I believe. Are larger dogs likely to fit into one of these? The boot doesnt really look all that big to me which is a bit odd for an 'estate' car

Any thoughts?

Cheers folks

I get our German Shepherd Dog in ours - 2 would be a push, but ok on short journeys.

Get a Legacy or Forrester

Well I'm thinking a couple of nothern inuits. The journeys would be short, but I wouldnt want it to be uncomfortable for them

Legacy's eh. Dont know much about them other than some details someone has pointed me too on another forum. Are they another group 20 expensive car?

I'd call them more of a hatchback as opposed to estate! There's loads of room with the seats down however, but as you say the boot ain't that big. Think you will struggle with two big dogs.

Depends which version you get. The Legacy 2.0 GX estate should be quite reasonable to insure. The N/A 3.0 specB or an import 2.0 twin-turbo GTB will be higher up the insurance. (The GTB is Group 20D I beleiive).

uklegacy.com will have all the info you need.

When I had my Scoob wagons
1 french mastiff - ok
2 french mastiff - no chance

You'd need a shoehorn

on a recent journey to cornwall i managed to pack into my wagon three adults, one stroppy teenager, 4 rucksacks of various sizes and other rubbish dragged along by the teenager!, a lab who shared the boot with two suitcases, a boxed dvd/vcr combi and two pillows!!
So the wagon is a good size i reckon!
