Question What is tek3?

Hi guys,
very new to the site and after reading a few posts it seems a lot of peeps refer to something called Tek3 to improve performance. Could anyone very simply explain what this is?

take care,
Craig

Tek3 simply means EcuTek 3. EcuTek is for mapping your engine parameters in every aspect. Fuel, air, etc, etc. It is what the modifiers use now as it utilises your exisiting cars engine management chip.
The 3 of Tek3 refers to the level of mapping that has actually taken place. In this case it is a bespoke map that is made for that car, and that car only. Suiting not only all the mods that have been done on the car, but also that cars fuelling, ignition, etc, etc.
You would not take one cars Tek3 and then use it on another car.
