Default I am confused

I purchased a Blitz DD Bov for my P1 and bolted it on, it kept casuing the car to stall so I took it off and tightened all bolts on it, gave it a clean and tightened the spring then proceeded to bolt it back on job done!

Took the car out last night for a run......... stalling was gone and MY GOD the car has never been so Quick, it was rediculous... this thing was so quick and pulled so strong and unbelivably smooth.

Now I know a BOV CANNOT make this difference but somethig has and I've not touched anything else.... YET.... any ideas ? !

I just don't understand.... but I aint complaining

It could be perceived performance, the same thing happens when little Kevin puts a K&N on his Corsa, it sounds really meaty so surely it must be faster?? But in this situation it now goes PTSSSSSSSSSSSSSH so must be faster?

But more than likely your old recirc DV wasnt closing properly.

LMFAO!!!defo not perceived performance mate, the reason I got the Blitz BOv is so it doesn't make to much of a stupid squark sound and make me look like a burberry wearing chav nobber!, it just sounds like small flutters because I have the spring wound in .....

Yeah tis possible the old DV wasn't shutting in time but then I would of had the stalling problem with that DV is think

or quite possibly all the physical exertion of fitting the BOV must have burnt off a few stone and the car was actually trying to pull less wait giving the illusion that the car had gained power!!!

Right off to get a sensible answer, I'm gonna fit a boost gauge make sure nothing is going stupidly wrong!

nah if there was a leak the performance would be WELL down, and teh car would be irratic.... had this before on a previous car becasue I entrusted her to some other monkey!!!

I don't have a boost gauge but I can feel a purchase coming on today, just being lazy I guess!

Yes, but it might have been opening under boost??.. Not that likely but the standard bosch recirc is very weak.

If its just making small flutters it's possible the valve isnt venting at all anw what you are hearing is actually the waste gate, not the BOV - which is apparently a bad thing, someone will explain further I'm sure

nah it's defo the DV dumping but because it's a Dual drive it is dumping out of the small hole in the BOV and not the bloody great gap that makes all the pppssshhhttt sounds.

Wander what will happen if the Wastgate is used instead of a BOV...
