Question Anyone know the history of this car?

***** Link now fixed *****

As it says in the title.......

Anyone know the history of a blue MY04 5 door with PPP on sale at Crossroads Garage?

Used to have a MY99 DBM 5 door but had to sell it for a family car (Espace )

I would like to swap back but I've not kept up to date....

Would really like the car in the link but are there any real issues with an 04MY. My 99 had horrendous clutch judder that they never really sorted out but I still loved it.

Here's hoping......

Thanks Tim...

I don't think an import is for me, it would need an alarm fitting and I would be worried about the warranty issues!

Dave - it's obviously your call but I presume you know that questions about warranty on imports from Europe were resolved in favour of the consumer. Subaru Europe intervened by insisting that Subaru UK had to honour the 3 yr / 60,000 mile and rust proof warranties on these cars.

I have to agree, Iain is an enthusiast and has always been prepared to give anyone advice, even to "The Opposition"

One word of warning when visiting Litchfields cable tie your hands and wallet into your pocket :rolleyes or your end up coming out with the a WR V-LTD T25

I popped there last week to buy one of his MY03's and ended up buying a MY06StiJDM that a customers he gave me good advice and I have to agree he was right.

Dave,

Here are some threads about the warranties - only need to look at the most recent pages.

When I bought from Motorpoint last year, they were acting as unauthorised resellers and Subaru UK obviously didn't like this scale of competition. They took a position against honouring the warranties but subsequently backed down under pressure from Subaru Europe.

Subaru UK said they never had any difficulty with warranties on personal imports or where firms were acting in an intermediary/agency role, ie purchasing a car on your behalf at your specific request rather than pre-purchasing.

The warranty which I have is with Subaru Malta so it's not even as though it costs Subaru UK or their dealers anything if warranty work is required; the UK dealer is obliged to get approval from Subaru Malta then do the work and recover the cost from Subaru Malta - this is the procedure which Subaru Europe have instructed Subaru UK and its dealer network to honour.
