Got beat by this car on way home from SMACS RR day at Prosport, not much it it upto 130 but he did drive past me

 

Hi there. No disrespect, but unless your car is heavily modified, I don't think the guy was trying. I've ridden in an SL55 AMG (about same power as 600 I think) and that was mentally fast. Way more speed than a Ferrari 355 that I've sampled. Also I played with an RS6 recently (I was in my standard MY03 WRX) and he just pulled away like a beast! RS6 is prob about same as SL600

 

I got a run in my brother- inlaws new Audi RS4 414 bhp today it pulls better than the ppp i was driving. RS4 has the best brakes i have ever felt i had to check for the parachaute and the note was like a F1 car.

 

The Audi RS4 is 380bhp standard, unless it has been modified.

 

Banny - you're referring to the old RS4. Latest one is hailed as an M3 beater!

yeah this had only 200 miles on it, new model seats take some adjustment as they have air adjustment for lumbar and hip support

 

I reckon if my car had a TD05 20g and a 2.5 bottom end, then I would say i'd at least keep up with to 130 instead of it driving past me.

 

The SL600 has much more torque than the SL55 (& Merc had to dial it back as the autobox cannot take it), so in a straight line, the SL600 would probably be quicker. I think a S600 (even heavier than SL600) got a 0-60 time of 4.6s, & that's with an auto & all the toys.

 

Forgot to add my car was 345BHP 320lb/ft STI8

the new audi rs4 is 500 bhp seen one yesterday at asda very nice car

 

It's 420bhp and 430NM (not sure what that is in ft/lbs) in standard form, according to NZ Autocar

 

new RS4 has 414 bhp & 317 ft/lbs according to AutoCar.

 

Think Id take it in my wr1 then

 

seen it on top gear clarkson was driving it up mountain racing the climber he said it is 500bhp

a few months back I had a toy with a Brabus SL55 at bruntinthorpe

it was feckin' embarrasing how he pulled away from me at 140 - he wasn't even trying, he just took the p***

i thought my pride was just hurt - well i was wrong, 20 minutes later my engine let go 'big time' that will teach me.

 

The RS6 is legendary! Shortly after the second revision first came out a mate of mine had bought a brand new M3 SMG which was no slouch.. He saw "some estate car" try it on.. Lets just say it made him look f*cking stupid.

Also pissed on the LC is various areas

Its on my list

 

Drove a CL600 yesterday.... .fast but not as "brutal" as the Scooby. Very tempting though.....
