Looking for some advice

What's the best and worst I'd expect for a private sale on this:

Benelux parallel import (registered with IM) supplied by Well Lane Turbo Centre
32k mls.
FSubaruSH (just had big 30K service - £450)
Balance of warranty remaining
General condition : excellent (not a single scratch anywhere - just had £1000 bodyshop treatment to remove all scratches and polish)

4 brand new toyo proxes (fitted end Jan)

Professionally fitted Mid smoked privacy glass all round

I have just traded an MY02 (52) WRX in for an STI UK and mine was booked at 9.5k (WR Blue 38K sti spoiler and stainless exhaust)

I think it will depend where you take it and what your trading up to.

Privately it could be up for sale for months.

Hope this helps
Nik.

£10,000 mate private sale if you are lucky and less on a trade in. Is it ppp? £1000 on a tart up seems like a mahoosive waste of money if you are looking to get rid.

I must have been very lucky then because i got 9.5k last week for my 52 Bugeye
Two main dealers offered me the same against a 15k sti.
Its easier to part x than hang about for a private sale.
SG Petch in Richmond booked an early blob at 11-11.5k.

Get a dealer to value it against a car you like. Then you'll know for sure as oposed to the bullsh*t responses you can get here. Similar cars to mine on here were valued by posters at £2.5 k less than I got at p/ex time. Got new car from main dealer at CAPS money but with PPP fitted so don't be despondent

I just got £12750 for mine against a new 2006 wrx. 21000 miles full dealer history uk car. registered july 03
My car is almost mint but would have booked at about £10350. This aint too bad bmw's are hitting this level of depreciation.

Parallel Euro import will be worth less than a similar UK car if you are looking at book prices, warranty aside. If it was mine, I would have spent a couple of hundred quid colour coding the side skirts to make it look more up to date. Then rip out the posh stereo to sell separately and put the original cack one back in. Its all very well making it look minto, but you will be gritting your teeth when people test drive it, praying for no stone chips! If its a trade in, dealer will buff it up to sell anyhow.

Final word....

Its worth more than you think based on opinions from this site.
Get yourself down to a dealer because thats all that matters.
You will get a better deal than you might expect.
I am assuming your going for another Impreza

nice one.

thanks for the replies.

I recon £11,500 isn't unfair to ask for. I've already had an offer of a £6k Land Rover + £7K, but I don't want to be landed with another car to get shot of...

the £1000 tart up is courtesy of Safeways and their ****ty jetwash brush attachment which caused (albeit minor) scratches to the paintwork. So no outlay there.

I'm defo not part chopping it, as I am emigrating and will be flogging it or giving it away.

I don't have the original head unit to put back in it (ebayed it ages ago), so that spangly one would be staying put.

Only thing I might take off it is the spoiler. I recon I'd get £350-400 for it (i've seen them go for as much on fleabay). I still have the old surfboard in the garage.

I was going to get shot of it in October for a MY06 Spec C, but that's all on hold now....

Final option (and most deffo the one I don't want to end up doing) is to give it over to the finance company as I have paid over half and can just give it back. But then I would lose a few £K's I expect.

I will need to get shot of it before I depart these shores....
