Default top mount i/c for my98 uk

prior to planned power fc install, would like to hear what i/c will permit sensible boost and improve cooling significantly from oe. tmic.
present mods;
decat,oe. airbox mod & panel filter, samco i/c hoses.
this is a daily driver so not after big hp , just the improved drive it wiil give.
just to add, brakes,springs, shocks,arb and droplinks all sorted.

STI7 or later intercooler would probably be the best cost effective mod if you can be bothered with the fight to get it in. Also try to get the diffuser for underneath

Agree with RB5.
The hassle is a pain fitting one, but it looks good.
If you wish, check the first 5 or 6 pages of my engine thread on Projects here.

If you're not after major power then the new age WRX TMIC is a good improvement over the MY97/98 vintage item.

Cheaper and a bit less hassle than the STi7/8 item.
