Default 6k and need advice plz

Hi all

Just joined this site today having got 6k to get a Subaru, any help would be appreciated in what type i can/should get i know its not a lot and about a 96 plate would do nicely, if possible a wrx or the faster the better really. Ive seen a few type ras and type r whats the difference with these and could i afford 1? Thanks in advance and may this be the start of many years of scooby owning.

hi mate
welcome lots of good advice from people to be had on this forum, if i was you if you can stretch and spend that little more i would go for a 98/99 spec

i wish i did i recently picked up a 97 uk turbo ppp dont get me wrong i love it and it was a very good deal but i would of rathered the later spec dash/ interior and later version bodykit.

but you should be able to get a 96/97 version 3 sti for around 6k or 98/99 shape wrx or uk turbo, the chioce is yours but which ever you go for i am sure you will love them.

I would think you could get a MY99/00 EU import UK spec for £6K.
