Question There's a TURKEY under my bonnet??!!??!!

Can anybody tell me what is causing this strange noise I sometimes here.
It does it when, I get home from work, I leave the engine standing for half hour or an hour say, then start it up to go out somewhere.
The moment I turn the key to fire her up & the engine starts, I can here what I can only describe as a TURKEY under the bonnet making its gobbling noise that dissapears after a second or two.
Sometimes it goes 'gobble..... gobble..gobble. gobble then stops, it's freakin me out!

What the hell is it!!! I hope it's not serious & no this is no joke.

Thanks for any help!

Belt slipping? Does having a/c on or off or moving the steering wheel make a difference?

Mmmmm I'm hungry now

Remember, a Turkey's not just for Christmas...

Jokes aside, are you sure it's definately coming from the engine..? Reason I ask is because my passenger door seems to have a funny problem at the moment. When I turn the key to/from IGN the doors will lock/unlock -- as per my alarm settings. It sounds like the passenger side motor or linkage is a bit sticky because it whines (gobbles perhaps..?) when it's doing it (only for about 1 second though).

If you're in any doubt, another pair of ears might be handy.

Do you honestly think that humour is relevant here..? Crikey, imagine being cooped up at home with a car that has a Mynah problem for which you have no answer at present. If it was me I'd be spitting feathers and it'd be driving me quackers. Fowl cars and their pesky problems... these cars aren't cheap either. Next time peck on someone who hasn't got any issues eh.

Mmmmm, it's a wierd one this.....

I thought it might be a common thing.

It certainly sounds right in front of me & not to either side of the door area.

It definately sounds like a turkey to me, it's bizzare!!

It wouldn't possibly be something to do with my cambelt tensioner you dont think?
