Question Dogs "N" Scoobs

This obviously only applies to hound owners! My two bulldogs stand to attention everytime the wife comes home in the scoob, (exhaust note obviously)even before she pulls into the road. At the moment though the scoob is locked up for the winter and she is using a vectra (i know) so even when she is on the drive they dont even lift an ear. But everytime a scooby goes past the top of our road they jump up when the wife or me are not in the house and run straight to the front door. Is this only my dogs or do yours do the same??

I know you said dogs, but if our cat's been out all day she`ll be out from her outside sleeping place, and waiting at the front door before we come round the corner of the to our house.

Funny you should ask this cos this very night the wife and I were out with our German Shepherd when a de-catted RB5 passed and the dog's ears pricked up and he made a bee-line for it!
Didn't matter that I was standing beside the daft mutt..... he recognised the exhaust note and thought it was me!
