Default greetings from sunny south africa

hey boys and girls....

i'm littlefluffybunnies from cape town, south africa
and the proud owner of a red 2005 wrx, which is now my second scooby.

i absolutely eat sleep and breath motorsport, more specifically rallying, and live for the wrc.
i also like candle lit dinners and moon light walks on the beach.. hehehe.. couldn't resist that last one.

well, here's a pic of my first scooby... sniff

if you're wondering why i'd chosen such a girls colour, well, that's because i am a girl.. lol.

Good Morning Lindsay

I've been follwing the British round of the World Championship for a bout 25 odd years, but it's got too expensive, too small and far too organised these days.

Lot's of people on here have been to other European rounds, particulary Catalunya.

I'm hoping to get to Perth next year for Rally Australia Just listenning to the SuperSpecial at Gloucester Park live on WRC Radio

ahhhh i remember the days when you could just abandon your car on a mountain somewhere then go and watch with out fear of getting some kind of a bollocking for where you parked,
would wait all day just for the flash of a car going by, in to the distance then listerning to the spitting and popping of the exhaust disapearing up the mountain in to nothingness, still cold and wet walking back to the car where we would all strip to our undies and get changed, talking about "how fast he was down the dirttrack and in to that bend, without losing it"
Still talking about the odd privateers doing so well in a major event, then getting lost on the way back to the caravan where we finaly arrive at about 9.00pm,looking like ****e, we would decide that we couldn't be arsed to cook so we would end up down the village pub....Cold, still slightly damp, exhausted, hungry but greatfull that we had a fun day!!!

THEM WERE THE DAYS

I was lucky enough to be involved in the 1985 Lombard RAC Rally when it was based in Nottingham. It was before the end of the GroupB cars and was the debut of the RS200.

I got to meet all the drivers including Juha Kankunen, the late Henri Toivenen , Hannu Mikkola, Walter Rohl etc.

Eeeh, them were the days!

This would be handy for owners who drive through Birmingham on a regular basis
