Question Me again - how much for an sti 8 without ppp MY03

As an alternative to my thread about buying the above except with PPP, I am now also cconsidering getting a standard STI and then PPP'ing it. There is a mint one that I am going to see on wednesday night - 14,200 miles 2 owners etc etc but no PPP or big spoiler at the rear - apparently the 1st owner did not want one!!! Asking price is £15995 - reckon he would take 15k (leaving me £2k for ppp. Is this excessive for a non ppp car?

probably a better option than a ready PPP'd one, the warrantys nearly up anyway so live with the standard car for a few months then take the TSL route to 333bhp instead...

Have a look in the for sale section on here. For the £18K you have you will def get the car you are looking for.

Stephen,

I've got an MY03 without PPP but with afterburner vortex centre and back box. Has the big spoiler and privacy glass, in black mica. Otherwise standard (apart from head unit and front speakers) The thread is on Cars for sale, if your interested. Asking £16,000 ono.

I was planning on getting it mapped soon, but have decided to go back to the classic shape,

Jerry

Got my 03 PPP STi for £15995. Recon 16K is asking a bit much for one without PPP IMO

I'd second that. Just bought a mint 10k 04 STi without PPP 4 weeks ago, felt i paid a slight premium for black, and that was only £16k. It's a buyers market at the mo, i've seen 03's with PPP for £14.5k ono

Just keep an eye on the for sale section here, pistonheads.com & autotrader and just be ready to pounce with the cash. Christmas is coming though, so people might be holding off knowing it's a slow market. Even better chance for a bargain.

Looked last night - guy was not budging from £15,500 although he was asking £15,950. Car had low tread on the front tyres, was a 2 owner car, no ppp and a small boot lid spoiler........ Printine condition right enough........the search continues.......

Thanks for your comments guys.

But at the end of the day, it all depends what's on the market when you looking. Mine's up for £16,000 ono now, but when I bought it I missed a couple of very cheap cars, someone beat me to it.

Cars will sell, and people will buy. Offers are coming in (one of them silly), and seeing one MY03 with PPP go for 14.5K doesn't mean that's what it's worth, it means that's what someone let it go for.

Buyers market my a**e.

Jerry
