Default Bugeye Triple Guage

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what make the triple guage which takes the place of the clock on a bugeye (maybe blobeye as well) is. Plus, what are the three guages and how much would i be talking roughly to buy them??

Thanks all

(if anyone has any pics that would be great!)

The official part from Subaru is made by Lamco and these are 52mm guages and cost an absolute fortune.

Sports Gauge Pack (Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure). Shown with Gauge Pack Case

Part No. H5010FE010
£ 675.00 (inc. VAT, exc. Fitting - unless otherwise stated above)

Sports Gauge pack case (for use with and shown with h5010fe010ya Gauge pack)

Part No. H0010FE920OE
£ 69.95 (inc. VAT, exc. Fitting - unless otherwise stated above)

Thats over £700 for the gauges and pod

For slightly less money, but not by much you should consider Defi's.
These are expensive but worth every penny.

Here's mine which I've just fitted last night

Just to add they're, from L to R, oil temp, oil pressure and boost.
The control unit is mounted in the forester pocket below the stereo.

Aaaa! Those guages lOOk the muts-nuts. Just what i'm after. Being completely mechanically illiterate, how much would a garage charge to install a setup like that do you think?

Just trying to budget for them...

Can anyone explain to me why people would spend this much a few guages...

Not disputing the worth of the information it's just the cost of these ones that amazes me....

Can you say "fashion victims"...

They do seem pricey to me, i think i'm lOOking at £800 all in and fitted (maybe a group member could fit them cheaper than garages to make a few quid? For us - well me) less technically minded)

I'm eyeing up "defi-style" alternatives (Swoosh etc), but for me it was function before fashion mainly. Have i warmed up/cooled down long enough. Is boost constant/correct.

Is it not personal preference though? People might say the same about 18's or the PPP as the show-off value.

Wont bother with the Swoosh ones then. Xtremescooby has quoted £630 for the defi bf's, unit and pod. Just gotta get saving now...

That second picture lOOks much better. I take it they are the white ones and not the amber, which have been listed also.

Just normal Link gauges, BF's cost alot more and the links match the dash better including green illumination

Might have been a sales pitch, but XtremeScoobies mentioned the amber ones suit better, as they match the digital display. I didn't lOOk at the link ones, i think i'll get a quote for those too...

nice work richie - especially like the controller unit being inside the centre compartment - hadn't thought of that. will be doing the same when i get mine.

was it much work getting it in there?

will be going for the amber BF's though i know what you mean about the price - got to be done thoughto match the JDM clocks

Drilled a 20mm hole, shoved in a rubber grommet and poked the connectors through, cut another slot on the other side so the Ipod interface lead could fit as well

I've run 300hp+ for years and no guages.
Can't see the point of buying fancy dials that show normal all the time.

The autogauge new stealth line up is a very nice alternative to defis,

these can be had from about £45 a gauge, theyre smoked when off then have full caliberation 360 degree opening ceromony like the defis and are all electric.

Nice kit at a real world price IMO
