Question STi 8 Bonnet Scoop

Thinking about fitting one to a MY98. Has anyone done so and experienced any problems?

I'd like to find out before I shell out and commit.

TIA.

Thanks mate, never seen one on a Classic personally.

You've just saved me some spondooliks and deprived some poor businessman of the same!

A mate has fitted a STI7 one to his 00 car. This looks fine as not a big as an 8 one

They don't all look ****e at all. Make up your own mind.. I think it depends on the colour of the car and how the rest of the car looks - if it is completely standard then an STI8 scoop may be a bit OTT on a classic.

Here's mine

you can buy sti8 type scoops including a low-level one that might look good

I've got an STi8 scoop on my UK00, because it actually scoops some air at high speed which the original does not, and has three times the effective area of the original Same reason that Subaru now fits them. Got mine from www.drmotorsport.co.uk

Give these guy's a shout for your scoop, they do a STI8 version that is a perfect fit into the original hole.

They have some very nice peices for the Impreza.
