Default P1 and my00?

Is there much in insurance costs between a P1 and a my00 and the best places you have found for quotes. Cheers Dan

with the exception of imports and the 22B...the P1 is the only impreza that is insurance group 20... all other uk scoobs are ins group 17. depends on age and no claims bonus for quotes.... was paying 1200 on uk series mcrae..now paying 1600 on P1 with tesco and i'm 23.

Is this correct? My insurance group told me my UK STI was group 20, and all the magazines I've looked at it in also say it's group 20...

No, its not correct for new age Scoobies

WRX is group 19 (compared to a classic's group 17 rating, cause Subaru told a bare faced lie about the classic's performance and were honest about the WRXs so people wouldn't say it was a step back from the classic)

STi UK is Group 20 (classic import Stis also would have been group 20)

P1 is group 20 AFAIK. Quote not too different from a classic UK car though, probably in the region of a couple of hundred quid more, depending on age NCB all the usual stuff.

I had an RB5 with the performance upgrade(236bhp) a couple of years ago and i was paying £1300 with tesco. When i bought the P1 my insurance went up £500 but i was only 23 at the time, so £1800 wasnt to bad. The RB5 was group 17, and the P1 is group 20. P1 is a couple of hundered quid more than the current UK STI to insure, or at least it was for me when i last got a quote for them both. Hope this helps.

I've owned 2 uk old version Imprezas that are miles ahead of RB5s. Some people are quite deluded about RB5s.

RB5 is either a 17 or an 18 depending on company. But not whether it is a WR Sport or not.
