I am still waiting for the really good follow shots from the Max power boys.

As you can see i got a damn good start on him upto 120mph.. Then it goes out of shot as he whoops my *** top end.

That would have been embarassing for the lambo if it had been the traffic light grand prix eh.

For me, the really remarkable thing about that footage is how well the Scooby stands up to a car worth probably 4 times as much up to sensible speeds. It's not like its exactly humbled in the sounds department too!!

Two very different noises both sound awesome.

 

It's my understanding that they didnt launch the lambo hard?... .it would have destroyed the scoob from the line.

I did wonder, it didn't look like a particularly hard launch. That said, to 60, I wouldn't have thought there'd be much in it. I would have thought that only at beyond legal speeds would the Lambo really press home its advantage.

Good vid, Lambo sounds Awesome, scooby doesnt sound to bad either.

 

Lambo does 0-60mph in 4.1seconds (in 1st gear!). 0-100mph in 9.0secs. (autocar)

That fiesta is mad...it took off so quickly i thought i had it playing on the wrong speed.

 

IIRC that's a TSL 333 tuned Sti. So, what are we looking at....4.5 secs to 60??(Def not in first gear!!) so only a few tenths in it, but beyond 60...byeeeeeeeeee

 

******* hell, it looked so standard, sounded absolutely awesome and just absolutely stunning acceleration.

That Fiesta!!!! Think it's already been said...... Shame they didn't have any footage of that against the Lambhorghini. I do wonder what would cost more though, taking into account man hours on the Fiesta!!!

The fiesta destroyed everything that day, it was running 0-60 in 2.5 secs, 0-100 in 6 secs. It was STUPID fast and that video shows it well.

Yea i noticed that Lambo didnt change gear much, its first and 2nd gear went on and on!

 

Its not Pats car, his is white and red. Saw him at Mondello Park he completly destroyed a gearbox in the heats - but he came second in the final.

For anyone who is interested he will be running at Croft at the end of October.

The car is built by MDV, its 1200kg, YB Cosworth circa 550-600bhp, Alcon 6 pots and Reiger suspension. Similar spec to a WRC car but producing about twice the power.

A friend of mine was approached by Max Power asking him to take his lambo along on the day as well... he thought about it but after 3 clutches in 4000 miles decided against it, can see why the other chap was very careful on his launches!!

My friends was also a gallardo with a full tubbi exhaust, now that is loud!!!
