Default MY03 Type UK Sti or JDM STI 8???

I am more familuar with the GC8 Scoobies so I need a bit of help with the above and which to choose.

What are the main internal differences?
Are there any cosmetic differences?

Finally which would be the better buy, a MY03 Type UK with 9k miles or a JDM Sti 8 with 17K miles at rioughly the same money??

Futhermore, is the look and the mechanics of the MY05 much different to the MY03 model?

Cheers.

Depends what your after, Performance or Performance and comfort. you maybe slightly more comfortable in a UK car. Only a PPP'd UK car will come close to a JDM a STD UK no where near.

JDM, mapped 100ron, twin scoll turbo, HID lights. rear wash wipe, DCCD-A (maybe as optional), some engine componants different,

UK extra Cat, mapped UK fuel 95-98ron. softer suspension (i think) 3 yer warranty.

Normally JDM's a relatively cheaper than simular "UK" Cars as UK's are/were easier to shift through dealerships all Scoob's lose more money thatn Barrings bank LOL

The out the box My05 is Far better handling and performance than a MY03

Look wise bar from a refined interior, larger arch flares, different wheels

Handling has "G" sensors, Modified chassis, larger wheel brgs, Wheels have different PCD so wont fit to any previous scoobs.

IIRC AFAICR IMHO etc etc

Indeed, to nick Nathan L's own words:

"For some reason we called the Prodrive version which was the first official STi here a 7. Whereas there was a prior bug-eye version in Japan which was the 7 over there. The prodrive version was their 8 and the blob eye is their 9 but our 8. Nuff said "
