How many Classic owners on S.Net have had their UK or JDM Scoob since it was brand new and still have it ?
I took delivery of mine in November 99 (5 months after ordering it) It cost me STI money even then and now it's worth naff all, but what the hell residual values are overated.
It still makes me

everyday

97uk saloon ordered feb, delivered 1st Aug with 83k miles. Mine will be having a engine transplant in the near future
Got my Euro import new in July 2000 after 6 month order, drove it home from Holland with a big grin and still grinning. Only cost me £16k and I've done 30,000 happy miles and it still drives like new. What would I replace it with that's such a good all-rounder??

Impreza wagon, waited 6 weeks ......
61,000 miles and standard ... same brakes/turbo/engine/gearbox/clutch/ECU
No chav items added, such as - CockLinks and no Change Gear NOW lights, no re-maps, no trackdays, no rolling road shoot-outs that are for babies ....

ok mine wasn't from brand new but i did purchase it with only 5k on the clock nearly 5 years ago. October 2000 UK Turbo, 62k on the clock.
Haven't wanted to change the car really, test drove a PPP'd 'bug eye' WRX a few years ago, didn't put a smile on my face like my old classic.
Its lived with quite a few new age UK STi's on the road over the years

Yeah still got mine bought it brand new in nov 99,went to look at second hand one at dealers and came away with a brand new one 5 days later, got 30k on it now and saved a fortune on servicing as was not impressed with dealer so serviced it myself since it was a year old.
Bought it when my son was born and i reckon i'll still have it when he starts driving.

I really miss my classic, they really are fantastic cars...I moved to a blobeye because of a few problems with my MY99 and I thought it would be a big leap in the right direction. Although the new car is nice it's not got that little something that the classic had.
All of you guys/gals with good classics are very lucky indeed
