Turbo needs replacing..recommendations pls ?

Default Turbo needs replacing..recommendations pls ?

Have MY96 UK Turbo. Car needs new turbo,,any one recommend a garage / specialists in or near Watford ? Quoted £1300 from Subaru Dealer....is this about right ? Thanks

ask PS Lewis if he wants to sell his because he never takes his car above 3,000rpm, so his turbo never kicks in. Just a thought. lol

If it's a simple TD 04 I could sell you one and I'm in Hemel!

Would be a lot cheaper and the turbo has only done approx 30k miles.

You may have a TD05 though and then I can't help you

If it is a TD05, try David at API, he usually has a couple in stock.

if its a td04 turbo they cant even get £100 for them on here or anywhere

Id suggest looking at Andy Forrest's TD04 hybrid. You will get the early spool up associated with the smaller turbo but with the ability to pump over 350BHP's worth of air.

Simon (Andy Forrest isnt my Dad btw.....)

I think its the older model with the TD05.

Choices are:

ANother TD05 from David at API

VF30/35 with a 90 degree silicon hose and Unichip to suit.

One of Andy Forrests special's TD04 hot side with TD05 Compressor cover. THese are awesome and are worth serious consideration!
