Good place to get new ECU and remap for a Version 2 STI Type RA?
Hi
I've been quoted around £1500 for a new GEMS ECU and remap for a Version 2 STI Type RA. Although I've heard GEMS is one of the most expensive. Are there any places that will supply a new ECU (eg. Power FC) and do the remap? What sort of ECU is it and what cost do they charge in total? Has anyone used ScoobyClinic?
Many thanks for any information.

in the latest of issue japanese performance magazine an sti v2 with a full aps decat, k&n panel filter and a gems ecu mapped at G Force by steve simpson went from 271 bhp & 275 torque to 330 bhp and 335 torque after the remap.
With you living in west sussex it makes sence to use www.brdevelopments.com and IMHO you would be better with motec or link over the Gems.

Thanks also for mentioning brd developments. Do you have an idea of what sort of cost they will charge to supply a replacement ecu and remap? Is Motec more expensive than a Gems ecu? I've also read the article in Jap Performance Magazine. Looks very impressive. One of the reasons I have decided on importing an STI Type RA.
