Do you mean from the DVLA Pete?

I am under the impression as long as the majority of colour showing is of that on the logbook, then your safe.

I have actually asked the DVLA this same question before, but it was about 8 years ago, so may want to check it again

Check with your insurance company too, some class it as business use (advertising) regardless of whether or not you're actually being paid to do it.

I think people who put stickers of brands that have been nowhere near their cars should be sued...
A mate of mine has an S2000 with eibach stickers on it and the closest it got to eibachs was when it was parked next to my classic scoob!! Quite silly...

a lot of signwriters that sell brand stickers have disclaimers saying "make sure you get permission from the owner of the trademark/name before plastering your car with it", so yes i guess you do need permission

Anyway, you'd think that if the companies gave a sh*t we would've heard about it by now. As long as you're not abusing the trademark (i.e. plastering some thing like "are cr@p" after the Dr. Patel logo...) then it's good advertising.

I'm not saying that technically you don't need permission, just that it's not a problem in 'real life'.

That's to cover the signwriter's backside. They are the ones that aren't allowed to reproduce and sell them without permission.

I'm sure Subaru/Prodrive/SWRT wouldn't mind too much, as it's a very effective advert for them.

I'm NOT allowed to use/reproduce any of the Subaru logos, not even if am putting something to promote their products. e.g. I wanted to use the SUBARU (wording) logo to head a list/directory of official dealers as in "SUBARU DEALERS".

Hmmmmmm, I guess those cars with Gold Wheels could promote 'Nivea for Men' and other girlie products??

Those with BIG F off rear wings could promote ***** Extension solutions??

Those with the **** Oil Change Syndrome could promote 'Eugine' from 'Big Brother' ...... isn't he just the picture of the ***** on here Fooookin' boring as hell with ZERO humour!

Those with BIG drainpipe exhausts could promote that 'Tiniest Hearing Aid in The World' thing.

You cant legally have the numbers on your car, the filth will do you for that. I've seen people with lines through the numbers when they are on the road to make them road legal - crossed out.
