Hi all thinking about getting me a sti8 for the last few months but been watching sti prices in freefall !!!!!!!!!!! seems that you can not give these cars away at the moment whats the score ??????????????????????

 

Imports can't be helping the prices - e.g. new 2005 models for £20000 without DCCD or £21000 with from Motorpoint etc.

 

The score is this, Mr Mash. I'm still waiting for your reply to my PM! Plus most cars are not selling too well a the moment anyway. There's a seller here with a mint classic with only 27k miles and he can't sell it! I've seen all the 03/04 STi's on Ebay which are not selling either. My advice, keep the car, which I may end up doing myself, rather than give it away!

Yes, you're right, classic's do seem on the up, while there are loads of 03/04 models for sale, and mostly WR blue, like mine!

 

That is what I think every time I see a used STi.

 

Even better.........buy a Bugeye WRX and mod the pants off it to 300 plus BHP for even less than the STi 8.

Yep can't shift mine either. Have been offered some horrendous part chop prices and thats on a 40K+ car !!!!!

I think an Alfa would depreciate less at the moment.

Things may hold after this month after all us Sti8 owners have stopped paying for the PPP on new cars - If you get what I mean

By the end of summer I think the car will be just about worthless and then when the new model comes out who knows ??

I wish I had got out of this game after my last classic RB5.

I meant the low price of imports can't be helping second hand values. e.g. whos going to pay £18k on a two year old car when they can have a brand new latest model for £20k.

Yes I want cheap prices! I bought my MY00 from Holland 5 years ago - and saved over £5k

Holy ****! I just paid £17,500 for a 53 reg STI a month ago (admittedly with much lower mileage) - seemed like the going price at the time. It's weird, because according to that recent desirability study, the Impreza is the third most desirable car, after the Toyota MR2 Roadster and the Porsche 911. My other car is an MR2 and this cost me £14,000 18 months ago - it's worth around £12,000 now... I wonder which car has proven the better buy?!

 

u want my opinion IM and SUBARU are shafting us all first with the bug to blob eye change and now to the MY06 car letts face it there all pretty much the same car with a few tweeks which a race driver on the track may notice new front ends and interior revisions i myself will be sticking to my blobeye which was purchased after a bug didnt fell no difference my self oh a smaller steering wheel hmm when this is broke i will by something different
