Sti8 scoop HEAT SOAK!

Default Sti8 scoop HEAT SOAK!

Fitted sti8 scoop on my classic 2day took it out 4 a spin,can not understand why engine temp are now higher thought they would be lower due to the bigger intake,but im wondering now wether i should have left the original scoop on.Suffered from heat soak b4 but now its even worse! any 1 else had this problem? Was thinking about reducing the gap on the scoop as i want 2 keep the sti8 scoop as think it looks the bis

TO BE HONEST IVE NOT HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE I PURSUME THE PROBLEM IS SOMETHINGELSE.I.E OIL, NOT ENOUGH COOLANT ,SENSOR NOT WORKING.YOU NEED ONE OF THOSE HAND HELD SUBARU COMPUTERS ON YOUR CAR.

WHERE ARE YOU IN THE COUNTRY ?

With my pfc commander air temp,with old scoop it was around 19-26deg on hot day moving a around 40-50mph,but 2day with sti8 scoop was 30-37deg admiting was very hot today but sure this woudnt increase by that much! whilst on tick over temp rose to 55deg , with old scoop never went more than 48deg

I'd put the old one back on just to see if it goes back down again

Have you factored in the fact that today was the hottest May day for over 50 years???????!!!!

I do think that your testing is flawed. It was a rather sunny day today combined with hot temps.
