Unhappy Speedo has stopped working

It started jumping up and down about a week ago, now it's given up altogether, any ideas to what could be wrong and how to rectify it?
It's a MY95 series mcrae.

Cheers

Hi chubbs
If it's the same as a MY99 open the bonnet, and look down the left hand side off the gear box, you will see a big plug remove the plug and see if there is any corrosion on the plug or socket, this is where it takes the signal from for the speedo. I had the same problem, clean it up and spray some switch cleaner or wd40 into the plug and socket.

Hope this helps
