Micky. It looks like a good alternative to the STi8 especially at that price. If fitting to a classic then you will have all the same issues as the STi8 though!

The car in the picture doesn't quite fit properly either:

The bracket on the off side isn't connected that I can see.

No, the Sti8 covers the clutch reservoir, not the turbo.
IMHO the unit is good, but very deep, makes air travel further through the core which i feel is not as good as the Sti8.

The STi8 Covers about half the turbo. the Hyperflow TMIC is different to the Ebay item as you can see the Hyperflow is shorter and deeper. The DV fittings are different to. If you want plug and play then get the Hyper IMO.

hyper wouldnt fit mine as it is phase 1.5
unless they do a specific version for my manifold

i thing the price of the top mount on ebay is pretty good compared with what sum people want for a sti8 version (£350 wtf!!)

might email the seller and try and find out who makes them

info emailed to me today

Hi,

I have them manufactured by a 3rd party company so I guess you could say they are my own brand, what we did is buy the prodrive performance top mounted intercooler and based this one off it but made it slightly larger. Sorry I don’t have any performance figures for the intercooler yet but from the people who have installed it so far I’ve heard nothing but praise – the kits work best with an air induction kit to compensate for the additional amount of airflow required after the install

Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions please don’t hesitate to ask

looks massive, cant see that going under a classic bonnet without a fair old shove

have you had the car remapped or anything after the mod?

Yes is quite big & would need quite a ot of modding to fit in a classic imho. Hav'nt had a remap but car does seem to have more shove now probably due to less pressure loss accross the new intercooler compared to standard. Going on a rolling road in June so will know a bit more then

Do you kiss goodbye to your front strut brace with this I/C or will it still fit?
